A photograph taken on Belle Isle. Detroit in the background. A walk around the island's perimeter. A thought about the equal value of what was, what is, and what could be.
This preface introduces the website as a story of stories — a body of work shaped by memory, imagination, and the possibility of what comes next.

Purpose & Scope
This page exists to establish public record and provenance for ongoing work. It is intentionally sparse, factual, and incomplete.
I'm left-handed and think in methods and systems. I use spreadsheets and AI to test ideas and let data resolve disagreements.
The filings below concern how authority and decisions get defined, stabilized, and traced in systems where outcome integrity matters. The underlying framework is domain-agnostic. Full implementation details live in the patent and trademark applications, not here.
This work rejects categorical labels that replace causal explanation with institutional convenience. It concerns behavioral analysis and system design. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or medical decision-making. Where disease or medical framing appears, it is treated strictly as a methodological constraint — how labels function as descriptions rather than causes — without asserting clinical determinations.
Nothing on this site is medical advice; where medical assessment is indicated, clinical judgment governs.
Thesis, Technical Report, & Protocol
THESIS OF THE INTEGRATED METHOD: TWO MULTI-DOMAIN EXECUTIONS, 2025 AND 2026
PRECISION OF LEVEL VERSUS PRECISION OF TREND IN A SINGLE-SUBJECT INTENSIVE-LONGITUDINAL HEALTH RECORD
THE THREE-REFERENCE BASELINE PROTOCOL:
ESTABLISHING AND INTERPRETING A THIRTY-DAY N-OF-1 DESCRIPTIVE BASELINE, WITH BOUNDARY-PRESERVING ANNUAL SEQUENCE ANALYSIS
These works remain in draft form. Only their titles are presented on this website; the documents themselves are not published or publicly available here. I am willing to share the latest draft of any of these works under mutually agreed written terms with qualified investigators, academic institutions, prospective funding partners, and research or commercial collaborators.
What's Next
The next phase of this work is independent validation through a sequential program of studies.
Each study would determine whether the evidence justifies proceeding to the next, ultimately leading to a large and diverse research program capable of evaluating the work at the scale for which it was created.
The research will require qualified investigators, academic institutions, funding partners, and appropriate independent oversight.

Epistemic Constraints
Within this work, "abuse," "addiction," and "obesity" are treated as descriptive labels rather than causal explanations. Abuse refers to observable behavioral patterns shaped by conditioning, reinforcement, and context. Addiction is a summary label applied to recurring abuse over time. Obesity refers to an observable outcome state used for measurement and modeling.
Framing any of the three as a disease substitutes classification for causality and terminates meaningful inquiry. Disease-based models are therefore not used here as primary causal explanations. Behavioral causality is grounded instead in conditioning, reinforcement dynamics, environmental context, baseline stabilization, and feedback structure.
Medical expertise is recognized where physiological risk, injury, or stabilization is involved. Behavioral causality is not delegated to categorical disease classification.
Design Constraints
The methods below share a common constraint: they require direct measurement across domains rather than isolated, single-domain interventions. A change in one tracked domain is expected to register with the others, not be silently absorbed. The architecture preserves baseline signal rather than smoothing it.
This work is incompatible with systems that prioritize short-term stabilization through substitution while obscuring the cross-domain dynamics that produced the original state.

Foundation
This work is built on the capacity to learn and grow. It rewards neither shortcuts nor applause; it rewards the work itself. The methods do not flatter, nor do they mistake the appearance of progress for progress. They hold to what the data show rather than what is preferred, and they surface errors rather than absorb them. What this work asks is a willingness to be wrong, to revise, and to continue. The reward is not affirmation. It is growth.
The origin of this work is reflected in A Tale of Two Gardens.
The personal cost of learning to blend in — and the reason this work had to be built differently — is examined in Different.
Why this work matters beyond personal origin is examined in A Country Built to Extract.
The reasoning method beneath this work is illustrated in The Box and the Two Ledgers Called X.
The operational method of this work is demonstrated in The Fisherman's Problem.
The discipline this work demands under time pressure is illustrated in Three Minutes.
The willingness this work demands — to face what is true without negotiating with preference — is examined in Honesty.
Applied Essays
An AI model corrected the word I used for a blitz position I was losing. Being worse is not being fucked — but fail to see the difference fast enough, and worse can become fucked. What followed was a losing streak I stopped counting. Worse Is Not Fucked.
A personal application of this work is presented in Now What.
The piece examines blitz chess, a winning position lost to a single move, honest assessment, starting over, and the difference between accepting that a position is lost and negotiating with what already happened.
A personal-methodological application of this work is presented in Lost on Time.
The piece examines blitz chess, a winning position lost to the clock, AI-assisted review, and the discipline of refusing to let any account stand until it matches what is actually true.
A personal-methodological application of this work is presented in Nobody Audits a Win.
The piece examines blitz chess, outcome bias, the tendency to interrogate losses while accepting wins at face value, and the discipline of separating what happened from what the result appears to prove.
A personal-strategic application of this work is presented in The Bishop I Didn’t Take.
The piece examines blitz chess, automatic correction, material versus position, the difference between repairing a deficit and deciding the game, and the discipline of refusing a flattering account of how a victory occurred.
A civic-personal application of this work is presented in Happy 250th Birthday.
The piece examines the 250th anniversary of the United States, Washington, D.C., public spectacle, patriotism, institutional failure, family, and the difference between chasing a photograph and facing what the celebration cannot resolve.
A concluding synthesis of this work is presented in Coda: 25-0-6.
The piece uses the care of a lawn as a metaphor for relationships, health, ethics, institutions, capital, restraint, and the entirety of marinoapollinari.com. It examines diagnosis, context, timing, resources, repeated application, hidden conditions, visible results, and the discipline of knowing both when more is required and when more would cause harm.

Photographs from the gym floor. Compound Movement.
The Predator | The Sex Offender is a personal disclosure concerning a 2008 felony conviction, incarceration, parole, public labeling, and the long consequences of a past act.
The piece does not ask for erasure, sympathy, or exemption from judgment. It asks whether a label can explain a person, whether a record can become the whole account, and whether society applies the same moral urgency to the systems that damage people at scale.
