The methods and systems presented on this website were built to be evaluated through independent research. AwareStrength™ is one application of that work. This page describes the proposed path for testing it.

The work was built to be evaluated at scale.

That does not mean its value should be assumed. It means the work must eventually be subjected to research capable of determining what it establishes, where its limitations lie, and whether its findings remain meaningful across increasingly large and diverse populations.

The proposed next phase is a sequential program of independent studies.

The program would begin with a smaller study designed to determine whether the work can be evaluated reliably and whether the proposed research process is feasible.

A second, larger study would examine whether the initial findings can be reproduced across a broader and more diverse group of participants and conditions.

The eventual objective would be a large, independently led study capable of evaluating the work across a population substantial enough to produce meaningful and defensible evidence.

The studies are not interchangeable.

The first study must justify the second. The second must justify the third. Each stage must expose weaknesses, correct errors, refine the research process, and determine whether moving forward is warranted.

The large study is the destination.

It is not the first move.

The purpose of the proposed studies is not to produce a predetermined conclusion or confine the evidence to a preferred narrative.

What the data reveals, it reveals.

Qualified researchers should be free to examine the data, identify relationships, investigate unexpected findings, compare populations and conditions, publish what the evidence supports, and use the results to inform additional research as they consider appropriate.

The questions worth answering are concrete. Does the work perform as intended? Are its findings reliable and reproducible? Do they remain meaningful across larger and more diverse populations? Where does the work succeed, where does it fail, and what additional questions does the evidence create? These are research questions, not product claims.

AwareStrength™ should not control the conclusion.

The boundary is narrower and more precise: research findings must not be presented as proof that AwareStrength™ diagnoses, treats, prevents, improves, reduces, raises, lowers, or otherwise causes an outcome that the system explicitly states it does not produce.

A relationship revealed by the data is a research finding.

A claim about what AwareStrength™ itself does is a product claim.

Those are not the same thing.

Researchers must remain free to follow and report the evidence. The stated limitations of AwareStrength™, as published on marinoapollinari.com, must govern claims made about the product itself.

An unfavorable result must remain possible. The studies should be capable of identifying failures, contradictions, and limitations alongside anything useful or unexpected that emerges.

The objective is not to protect the work from the evidence.

The objective is to expose it to the evidence.

Research of this size cannot be designed, funded, executed, or evaluated by a single person or company acting alone.

It will require qualified investigators, academic researchers, research institutions, statistical expertise, independent oversight, access to diverse study populations, and funding partners capable of supporting a serious multistage program.

The appropriate partners may differ across the work. The proposed studies will require investigators and institutions with expertise relevant to the specific subject under evaluation, along with appropriate funding, participant protections, and independent oversight.

In every case, the work would be presented through the appropriate research and institutional channels. The studies would be designed around the stated scope and limitations of the system being evaluated.

The role of those partners would not be to endorse the work.

Their role would be to examine it, challenge it, help design the appropriate studies, oversee their execution, interpret the results, and determine whether the evidence warrants proceeding.

For the largest study, the most realistic path would involve academic or institutional leadership, with Baseline Commerce, LLC (Marino Apollinari serving as managing member) serving as the intellectual property owner and research partner.

The company would contribute the work, the intellectual property, and the materials necessary for responsible evaluation. Its partners would contribute the independent expertise, infrastructure, credibility, and scale required to test it properly.

This work requires more than technical competence. It requires people willing to let evidence outrank institutional convenience, commercial pressure, professional loyalty, and predetermined conclusions.

Government and medicine should be natural places to find that standard. If highly ethical partners can be found within those institutions, they should be part of this work.

If they cannot, the research does not end.

I know highly ethical people can be found in turfgrass management, a field in which AwareStrength™ can also play a useful role. Turfgrass professionals work with changing conditions, measurable inputs, long timelines, environmental pressures, and results that cannot be sustained through rhetoric alone. Their work requires observation, stewardship, precision, and accountability.

The specific application may change, but the ethical requirement does not.

The right partners are those willing to test the work honestly, report what the evidence supports, acknowledge what it does not support, and allow the results—not politics, status, financial pressure, or institutional self-protection—to determine what comes next.
